 Engine breaks down 5km south of Santa Luzia do Parua. Could do with some of the "Long way round" support crew now :) Btw, it is not the big Santa Luzia you see on the map, it is where the red line ends!

 Getting new rear tire and brake pads with help from the excellent KTM mechanic Claudio in Fortaleza. Also bleeding the rear brake which has plenty of air in the hydraulic lines.

 First time I have to bribe myself out of a police situation in South America. Or maybe call it a convenience fee. R$120 for turning left and not having Portuguise translation of driving license straight into policemans pocket.
